One of Geelong’s most recognisable Edwardian buildings, Kirrewur Court was built around 1892 and its 17 main rooms—with features including an original crafted staircase, open fireplaces and period beams—saw it used as a reception centre.

New owners commissioned ducksnest to transform the property back into a private mansion mixing grand proportions with a warm family feels. The huge project involves advising on all interior design and decoration from the ground up for both the existing layout and new extension.

Red carpets and chandeliers are making way for contemporary fixtures, lighting and stunning modern floral wallpaper by Tricia Guild. A new internal concrete floor in warm vanilla tones is juxtaposed with original brick walls and black steel windows.
